Taylor Kitsch Makes it as a People’s Choice Award Nominee for “Best Superhero” for John Carter

Well, John Carter fans don’t get too many “wins”, and while a nomination isn’t a win, it’s certainly got the fans buzzing to know that Taylor Kitsch made it as a nominee in the “Favorite Movie Superhero” category at the People’s Choice Awards.   Here is the link to vote.  People’s Choice Awards Voting Link.  Apparently you’re not allowed to vote in just one category so be sure and vote in all categories .  Congrats to Taylor, who had a pretty rough year and has been loyal to the John Carter “franchise” in the face of some pretty serious slings and arrows.

UPDATE:  Please read the comments as there are important pieces of info there about the voting — such as you need to vote all the way through; you can do write-in votes (and last year a write-in won one category) . . . and more.  Thanks to Shouamabane, Jan Austin, and Diana Cole for making sure we have all the info.

  • ok, we found out that you DO NOT have to register and also you DO NOT have to vote all the way through! here is a fast way to streamline voting.

    Here’s how I am making the voting extremely quick. Type in “John Carter” on Favorite Movie category then copy it. then go to Favorite Action movie category and paste it in the write-in, go to Favorite Franchise category and paste it in the write-in, then select Taylor Kitsch for Favorite Superhero. After that select any above link inside the peopleschoice website such and “blogs, photos or show” and you will get the thanks for voting message. Hit Vote Again and repeat process.

    Now to vote for Lynn Collins, go to Favorite Movie Actress and type “Lynn Collins, John Carter” in the write-in, then select copy, then go to Favorite Act of Heroism and paste it in the write-in. After that select any above link inside the peopleschoice website such and “blogs, photos or show” and you will get the thanks for voting message. Hit vote again and repeat process.

    Do the same thing for Taylor Kitsch and Favorite Male actor, type “Taylor Kitsch, John Carter” in the write-in then copy and paste to Favorite Action star write-in.

    Repeat this procces indiviually for Favorite Fan Following and Favorite On Screen chemistry.

  • I didn’t have to register (it seems that only US residents are considered as far as registration goes) but apparently have to go through all the categories, most of them I have no idea whom I vote for! Hope for some good news for John Carter.

  • Just found out that you DO NOT need to register to vote. It is still unclear if you have to vote all the way through each category including TV and music for your votes to count.

    Some people are voting all the way through and some people are just voting for anything John Carter category related and then skipping to the very end at Favorite Music Fan Following, submitting and getting the Thank your for voting message.

    Also what’s the deal with nominating every Avenger but skipping Coulson? He was the heart of SHIELD and yet no love.”

    Yeah I am suprised Nick Fury and Coulson didn’t make it. Maybe that’s a wink from the PCA acknowledging all the John Carter fans because we sent so many e-mails and letters. Coulson and Nick Fury are regarded as traditional superheroes and the Avengers grossed way more than JC, like alot more. John Carter is debateable as a “superhero” but I’m happy we’re being represented.

    I believe you have to vote in all of the Categories from beginning to end – Movies, TV and Music and get the “Thanks for Voting” at the End. Here is a list of those to write-in under “Other” —-

  • Hey Michael make sure everyone knows they should register, login and then vote all the way through. vote everything John Carter related as a write-in. Somebody won a a write-in vote last year, this is from the People’s Choice blog.
