Mark Strong dishes on what it was like to play Matai Shang, a Martian villain in John Carter
Disney has released another in a series of interviews with the main cast of Andrew Stanton’s John Carter, set for release on March 9th. The latest to be released is with Mark Strong, who plays villain Matai Shang in the film which is based on the 1912 novel by master storyteller Edgar Rice Burroughs. Mark Strong has made a name for himself playing bad guys, including Lord Blackwood in 2009?s “Sherlock Holmes” and Sinestro in 2011?s “Green Lantern.”
In Disney’s “John Carter”, Strong plays the leader of a mysterious race calledthe Therns.
