Lynn Collins Seems to Still Feel Good About Playing Dejah Thoris
Lynn Collins just posted this pic on her Instagram — Dejah Thoris Thursday, I guess. I love this picture of her — did anyone else notice that she looks a lot more “red” in this scene than in some of the other ones.
Andrew Stanton’s John Carter was certainly a mixed bag, and his take on Dejah was not exactly what my own is/was — but I really don’t have any complaints and was favorably surprised with this aspect of the movie. And Lynn Collins has been a “good friend and true” to the character she played, and to Barsoom more generally. . . .so she certainly won me over. By the way, here’s a post about Dejah from way back before the movie came out that is the third most popular post on this site’s history with over 111,000 views. Will the Andrew Stanton/Lynn Collins Warrior Princess Dejah Win Hearts?

Lynn Collins was great from the get-go! Taylor Kitsch was tougher but won me over
“As is Taylor she is the only one for the part. One of the best films ever made. Looking forward to the next one, with the same actors.”
Sure. Right when we get sequels to The Last Airbender, Green Lantern, Lone Ranger, Battleship and any other box office bomb.
As for Lynn she did OK with what she was given to work with, which sadly wasn’t much.
She should definitely be proud of the part. After all, she was the focus of some of the reshoots, to soften her character! It seems to be so far her most high-profiled role, and hopefully she will have more on the way. And still hoping to see everybody back in a sequel to John Carter in spite of all the odds.
She played a wonderful role. No one else could have done it better, a great Actor. As is Taylor she is the only one for the part. One of the best films ever made. Looking forward to the next one, with the same actors.
Lynn Collins really owned that role and did great with the material given her. My arguement the whole time was to do away with those ugly tattoos and just play a red light on out Red Martians.
And well she should! She delivered a really lovely performance.
