From the archives: 100 Years of John Carter

In February, it will be 100 years since Edgar Rice Burroughs’ “Under the Moons of Mars” debuted as an adventure serial in All Story Magazine, bringing Barsoom, John Carter, Dejah Thoris, Tars Tarkas, Woola, and more to life in the minds first of the readers of All-Story, and then to the millions of readers around the world.

I put together the 4 minute clip below in an effort to capture those hundred years as seen through the eyes of the artists who illustrated the books, and the film-makers who are making John Carter.
