Other Stuff

It’s official.  John Carter and the Gods of Hollywood will make its debut at the Tarzan/John Carter Centennial Convention aka the 2012 Dum Dum at the Warner Marriot Center on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 3PM.  Both the print version and Kindle EBook will be available to purchase online that date as well.

The Centennial Celebration is open to the public for free and includes panels on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the “Huckster Room” book and art sales,  an auction, a visit to Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., and more.  The only event that is not open to the public for free is the Saturday night banquet on August 18 with guest speakers Jim Morris and Jane Goodall.

John Carter Files is presenting three videos as the banquet.

We’ll add more here in the coming days.

  • I am very much looking forward to getting my copy of “John Carter and the Gods of Hollywood” — I wish I could also attend the Centennial Convention for the book launch. Congratulations, Michael, on your achievement and thanks for all the hard work!

  • It will be available here and from Amazon. Haven’t figured out the price yet for the print copy — depends on how much the cost per unit is but it will be priced to sell! LOL…..I’ll know pretty soon.

  • Congratulations! I look forward to buying a copy. Wishing you through-the-roof success.

  • Michael, what will the book cost and where will it be available to purchase (the print copy)?

  • Congratulations Michael! Looking very forward to the book launch and reading this book, I think it will be fantastic! Well done!!

  • This is great news, I have read all the the bits and peices you have supplied here but I can’t wait to but the finished version!

    Sincerely;

  • This is fantastic news—congratulations! I’m very excited to see the results of such hard work, dedication and research. This film has become such a passion for many of us; it will be great to be able to honor it at the centennial celebration for John Carter and Tarzan next month.

  • Will the print version only be available on Amazon or will it also be available for Barnes & Noble stores? I’ve not had very much luck with B&N getting back to me on the other book my work was featured in, but since I did the cover for this one, maybe they might be interested in setting up a book signing here in S.C. with the cover artist and perhaps more books will be sold. Ideally, if such a book signing is done here, I would ask that B&N also make as part of the display the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, the DVD, the soundtrack, and anything ERB related to maximize sales all around.
